India Yamaha Motor, the second biggest Japanese brand in the country, today launched the Fazer 25 at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

This is a first major overhaul of the Fazer brand which Yamaha had launched nearly a decade ago. When launched in 2008-09 the Fazer debuted with 150cc engine thereafter going through several minor improvements.
The Fazer plays in the touring segment which is a segment other than the cruiser segment where Royal Enfield is the market leader.
The new bike which will be available in Soulful Cyan and Rhythmic Red will be on the roads by September. With maximum power output of 20.9 PS at 8,000 rpm and maximum torque of 20 Nm at 6,000 rpm, the Fazer 25 features LED headlight and an LCD instrument cluster.
