TVS Motor OCtober 2013 Sales
Total sales of TVS Motor Company stood at 197,905 units in October 2013, a 4 per cent increase compared to October 2012
Two wheeler sales grew by 2 per cent from 186,376 units in October 2012 to 189,979 units in October 2013.
Domestic two wheeler sales grew by 2 per cent from 170,273 units last year to 173,229 units in 2013.
Scooters sales stood at 42,124 units in October 2013 compared to 43,973 units in October 2012.
Motorcycles grew by 13 per cent from 72,687 units in October 2012 to 82,352 units in October 2013.
The company’s three wheeler segment grew by 95 percent from 4,062 units in October 2012 to 7,926 units in October 2013.
The company’s total exports grew by 25 per cent from 18,563 units last year to 23,154 units in October 2013.
The company exported a total of 16,750 units of its two wheelers in October 2013 compared to 16,103 units in October 2012.
Hero MotoCorp October 2013 Sales
Hero MotoCorp Limited (HMCL) broke all its previous records and despatched 625,420 units of its two wheelers in October 2013, which is its highest for any given month.
Hero MotoCorp sales has increased by 18.17 per cent compared to last year where it sold 529,215 units.
Hero MotoCorp’s previous highest sales for any month was recorded in May 2013 where it sold 557,890 units of its vehicles.
Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales), HeroMotoCorp, Anil Dua said
“Our October story has been about setting New Milestones. While we exceeded our best-ever despatch sales for any month by a huge margin, at the same time, our retail sales – which is a real barometer of customer response – has also set a new record. We have retailed over 6.5 lakh two-wheelers in the domestic market in the month of October, with a healthy double-digit growth month-on-month. This sales momentum has been helped by our star brands Splendor and Passion and also by the new products. Our recently-introduced five-year warranty and our brand campaigns have also created customer preference for the Hero two-wheelers.
Our factories have been working to capacity to meet the added demand in this festive season. With Dhanteras and Diwali in November, we are prepared to maintain this retail momentum going forward. Thanks to an improved market sentiment and our 15 new offerings lined-up for a phase-wise launch in the coming months, we are planning to bring even more excitement to the marketplace. Our vast network of over 5500 touch points across the country, strong presence in the rural markets and above all, the trust of customers in us and our products have been the big differentiators for us”
