Toyota in Thailand decides to extend the suspension of its manufacturing plants (that is Samrong and Ban Pho plants) and gateway plants till 9th May 2020 and 12th May 2020 respectively.
The decision has been taken to maintain the production level and regulate the demand and supply in Thailand and across the rest of the exporting countries. This will directly impact a great contribution towards a step against corona. This division is taken, keeping in mind the safety of all employees, stakeholders and other staffs. By reducing the number of customers, it will help indirectly to social distancing and will contribute to the government against the corona virus.
Still, there is no anticipation in the permanent closing of all dealers of the company. Most of them will remain open in the sake of customer service and their satisfaction in need. But some of them might be closed under restrictions by authorities for preventive measures of COVID-19. Other vehicles such as Nissan and other automobile industries are also taking the same actions, not exactly but indirectly to safeguard their customers.
