General Motors, which produces vehicles in over 30 countries has appointed Jim Glynn as Labor Relations Vice President of General Motors, North America. As the Labour Relations Vice President, Jim Glynn will be responsible for union management partnerships, leading joint programs and negotiations, and other key matters involving union represented workers.
Prior to Mr. Jim Gylnn, Cathy Clegg was holding this position. Cathy Clegg is now the Global Manufacturing Engineering Vice President and will look after manufacturing engineering responsibilities for automotive press, body, paint, assembly, controls, powertrain and global program management.
Glynn has been working for General Motors for almost 34 years and during this he has held positions in manufacturing and manufacturing engineering, including an assignment leading operations in Mexico. He was also the Manufacturing Manager in General Motors North America leading operations at 10 vehicle assembly, powertrain, metal stamping and battery assembly plants.
