Hyundai India Sales

India ‘s No 2 car manufacturer, Hyundai sold over fifty two thousand cars [ Domestic Plus Exports ] in January 2013, showing a growth of 4.25 per cent in India.

Vice President, Sales and Marketing HMIL Rakesh Srivastava said

“The market was subdued on account of macro-economic factors. For Hyundai the year has started on a positive note with growth in its domestic and export sales. The change in price differential between petrol and diesel prices has increased interest in petrol cars, reflecting in the waiting period of models like Eon, i20 and Verna petrol. Marketing initiatives in the rural markets are bringing volume growth.”

  • Domestic sales for the month of January 2013 stands at 34,302 units compared to 33,900 units in January 2012
  • On the other side, Exports accounted for over 17,722 units compared to 16,001 units in Jan 2012

Hyundai Czech Republic Sales

Hyundai, One of the leading car company in Czech Republic sold 1,128 cars with an annual increase of 14.6 per cent

Hyundai i30 was the company’s top selling model with 336 [51.4 per cent increase] units being sold in January 2013.Its followed by ix20 which reported sales of 255 units. The other model in the i series, i40 attracted 100 customers

Hyundai Australia Sales

In Australia, Hyundai Motor company sold 6,816 units of vehicles in January 2013, with a 4.7 per cent year on year increase this is also the company’s best ever in January sales

Passenger car sales – 4,585 units
ix32 – 1,301 units sold [Second best Small SUV Category]
i40 – Third best in Medium car segment
Veloster – Second best in Sports cars

Globally, Hyundai Motor Company has sold over 412,720 units in January which is an increase of 27.8 per cent compared to January 2012

Hyundai Motor America Sales

Hyundai Motor America also reported Janaury 2013 as its best January sales by selling a total of 43,713 units and a 2.4 per cent increase compared to 2012

Executive vice president, national sales, Dave Zuchowski said

“Despite some lingering economic concerns, January turned out to be a solid first month for us. The all-new Santa Fe Sport, recently named Best New Crossover in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine and the Elantra GT, Best New Car Under $20,000, both continue to do quite well with the Santa Fe selling 5,991, and the Elantra family totaling 12,174, up 24.4 percent and 11.7 percent, respectively, over the same period last year. We look forward to adding the all-new seven passenger Santa Fe to our line-up next month, allowing growing families an opportunity to experience the Hyundai brand.”

President and CEO, Hyundai Motor America, John Krafcik said

“We ’ve got a solid foundation going into the new year. We ’ve got a great line-up of vehicles and we’re looking forward to Super Bowl Sunday when we’ll share with upwards of 110 million viewers our all-new Santa Fe, our premium Genesis sedan and the surprising Sonata 2.0T.”
