Italian supercar maker Ferrari will launch its first product of the year in India next week when it takes covers off the GTC4Lusso.
Expected to be priced at around Rs 4 crore the latest Ferrari will sport one of the biggest engines any car has seen in India and certainly one of the biggest by Ferrari.
A massive 6.3 litre, naturally aspirated, V12 engine will power the GTC4Lusso developing peak power of 681 bhp. This is enough for the black prancing horse to achieve a top speed of 335km/hr.
The four-seater Grand Tourer can achieve 0-100km/hr in just 3.4 seconds and gives a mileage of 100 km for every 15 litres. The GTC4Lusso will be the fourth Ferrari to be on sale in India. Other models are 488 Spider, 488 GTB and California T.
The GTC4Lusso will compete for space against the likes of Lamborghini Huracan, Lamborghini Aventador, Bentley Mulsanne, Bentley Continental GT, Bentley Flying Spur, Bentley Bentayga, Aston Martin Vantage, Aston Martin Vanquish, Aston Martin Rapide, Aston Martin DB11 on pricing and power terms.
As per sources two confirmed bookings have been received for the GTC4Lusso from India already even before its official launch which is scheduled for August 2, 2017.
The younger sibling of the new Ferrari and slightly cheaper will be the GTC4Lusso T which is also scheduled to go on sale in India. This will be the second model by Ferrari this year and fifth model overall.
Powered by a 3.9 litre, turbo charged V8 engine the GTC4Lusso T is designed to attain a top speed of 320km/hr and can do a 0-100km/hr in 3.5 seconds. This car however has a much better mileage of 100kms for every 11.6 litre compared to the elder, more powerful sibling.
The final car for the iconic Italian company will be the 812 Superfast. This supercar will sport an engine that is even bigger than the engine which powers the GTC4Lusso. Bookings for the 812 Superfast have been opened and a launch will likely happen this year or next.
The 812 Superfast, which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, is the known to be the successor of the F12 Berlinetta that was also launched in India couple of years ago. The 812 Superfast will be the costliest Ferrari ever to go on sale in India.
Powered by a 6.5 litre generating a mind-boggling 789bhp of peak power (that’s the combined power of nearly eight Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS), the 812 Superfast is the most powerful and fastest road-going Ferrari every built.
The car can do 0-100km/hr in just 2.9 seconds and can attain a top speed of 340km/hr, making it one of the fastest production car in the world.
