Chevrolet Sales in Middle East

Chevrolet, one of the brands of General Motors which does business in more than 140 countries and sells more than 4 million cars and trucks a year, has reported a 18 per cent increase [ year on year ] in its January 2013 sales in Middle East .

Chevrolet’s passenger car including Spark mini car, Sonic small car, Cruze – recorded sales of 2,392 units in January 2013
Spark mini sales increased by 23 per cent in January 2013
Camaro sales were almost same as the previous year.
Malibu midsize sedan, which recorded its best ever January sales month.
Malibu saw increase in its sales in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait
Eighth generation Malibu – 829 units sold in January 2013

In total General Motors sold 7,656 vehicles with GCC countries [ Gulf Cooperation Council ].

President and Managing Director of General Motors Middle East, John Stadwick said

“ The performance of our revamped Chevrolet passenger cars goes from strength-to-strength, and the Malibu in particular has proved to be a real success in the region. With more vehicles planned for launch this year, we are confident that we will continue to grow our sales in the Middle East. ”

Chevrolet Sales in Thailand

Chevrolet, a brand of General Motors sold 6,039 units of its vehicles in Thailand in January 2013 which is a 59 per cent increase compared to January 2012

Sonic – 1,689 units sold in Jan 2013
Trailblazer – 694 units sold in Jan 2013
Captiva – 618 units units sold in January 2013
Cruze – 504 units sold in Jan 2013
Aveo – 58 units sold in Jan 2013

Gustavo Colossi , Chevrolet Sales Thailand and GM Southeast Asia Operation ‘s new Vice-President of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales said

Chevrolet in South East Asia

Chevrolet also sold a total of 7,424 vehicles across the South East Asian region in January 2013, which is a 60 per cent increase in its sales compared to January 2012.

In Indonesia, Chevrolet sold 452 vehicles in January 2013 [ 48 per cent increase year on year ]
In Malaysia, it sold 155 vehicles [ 29 per cent increase ]
In Philippines, it sold 377 vehicles [ 48 per cent increase ]
In Singapore, it sold 187 vehicles [ 36 per cent increase ]
