Home Auto News BMW shuts down production in Europe, Africa, North American due to COVID-19
As a responsible organization, we have taken care of our customers, our partners and our staff. They are our highest priority as we face the challenges of the Coronavirus. To minimize the effect of coronavirus we are following all the guidelines of Public Health England and we are also reviewing our own policies daily. We are also keeping our staff fully informed.
We have taken an unthinkable decision to shut down production at our UK, European, South African and North American plants until 30 April. This decision is taken after considering a number of factors that are impacting the automotive industry. The main goal is to the safety of the health and well-being of our breadwinners, the potential for disturbance to our suppliers and to a decrease in the global market need. Our workforce is the main factor in the company’s success and we are doing everything to protect and support them.
We are receiving a higher number of enquiries more than we usually get. We will try to answer all the enquiries of our customers. It will take time to answer your enquiries as most of the employees are working from home.
