Ashok Leyland, the second largest commercial vehicle maker in India, reported healthy growth in July sales on Tuesday.
“Total sales in July grew by 14 percent to 11,981 units compared with 10,492 units sold in same month last year,” the company said in its filing.
Light commercial vehicle sales increased 28 percent to 2,955 units on year-on-year basis.
Medium & heavy commercial vehicle segment registered a 10 percent sales growth at 9,026 units YoY.
The stock price touched a fresh 52-week high of Rs 110.90, up 1.1 percent intraday Tuesday.
